Who is the Thornhill Grades 7–8 program for?

This program is designed for athletes in Grades 7–8 who want to strengthen their volleyball skills, build confidence, improve game understanding, and continue developing for future school or competitive volleyball opportunities.

Does my athlete need previous volleyball experience?

No advanced club experience is required.

The program is a good fit for developing athletes who are ready for structured training, focused repetitions, and opportunities to apply their skills during play.

Is there a tryout?

No tryout is required for this Academy program.

How long is the Fall 2026 program?

The Fall 2026 program includes 12 instructional weeks and begins September 21, 2026.

How long is each training session?

Thornhill Grades 7–8 sessions are 90 minutes / 1.5 hours.

What is the Early Bird price?

Early Bird registration is $379 for the full 12-week program.

Early Bird pricing is available through September 7, 2026.

What is the regular price?

Beginning September 8, 2026, the regular price is $429 for the full 12-week program.

Do I need a discount code for Early Bird pricing?

No. Early Bird pricing is automatically applied during the Early Bird registration period. No coupon code is required.

What days and times are available?

Monday
8:00–9:30 PM — St. Giovanni Battista Catholic Elementary School

Tuesday
8:15–9:45 PM — Brownridge Public School

Can we choose our training day?

Yes. Families can choose from the available Monday or Tuesday sessions during registration, subject to availability.

Will my athlete attend the same session each week?

Yes. Families select one scheduled weekly session for the 12-week Fall program.

What happens during a typical session?

Athletes work through structured skill development, purposeful repetitions, coaching feedback, and game-based activities designed to improve both technique and overall understanding of volleyball.

Will there be game-based training?

Yes. Athletes will have opportunities to apply their skills in game-like situations while developing communication, positioning, teamwork, and decision-making.

Will athletes work on serving?

Yes. Serving is an important part of training. Athletes work on technique, consistency, control, placement, and confidence behind the service line.

Can this program help with school volleyball?

Yes. The program develops technical skills, court awareness, teamwork, communication, and confidence that can support athletes preparing for school volleyball.

Can this program help prepare for Development or REP volleyball?

The program can help athletes build a stronger technical and game foundation before exploring future Development or REP opportunities.

Is this program only for competitive athletes?

No. Athletes may join to improve their skills, gain confidence, prepare for school volleyball, get more training, or explore more competitive opportunities in the future.

What should my athlete bring?

Athletes should bring:

  • Clean indoor court shoes
  • Comfortable athletic clothing
  • Water bottle

Any additional instructions will be shared through program communication.

Can we experience Unity before registering?

Yes. Families can explore available free open gyms to meet Unity coaches, get on the court, and experience the Unity environment before deciding on their next step.
