WINTER FAQ.
Everything you need to know about our Markham Grades 1–3 Winter Volleyball Program.
01 Does my child need previous volleyball experience?
No. This program is designed for young athletes
who are new to volleyball or still learning the basics.
02 What will my child learn?
Athletes are introduced to movement, coordination,
ball control, passing, setting, serving basics,
teamwork, and communication.
03 What if my child has never touched a volleyball before?
That is completely fine. The program is designed
to give children a positive first experience
with the game.
04 Is the program competitive?
The primary focus is learning, movement,
confidence, basic volleyball skills, and having fun.
05 Will my child play games?
Training may include age-appropriate games and
activities that help athletes practice skills
while staying active and engaged.
06 What if my child is shy or nervous?
That is completely normal. Coaches help athletes
become more comfortable gradually through
participation, encouragement, and repetition.
07 What should my child bring?
Comfortable athletic clothing, appropriate
indoor athletic shoes, and a water bottle.
08 Can my child continue with Unity after Grades 1–3?
Yes. As athletes grow, they can continue into
Grades 4–6 Development, Grades 7–8 Development,
and other Unity opportunities.
09 What if I’m not sure whether this is the right program?
